In 2020, the US Bishops released another document calling Catholic musicians to evaluate the lyrical quality of hymns. In this video, we focus on the two quesitons posed by the Bishops:
Is the hymn in conformity with Catholic doctrine?
Is the hymn expressed in image and vocabulary appropriately reflective of the usage of Scripture and the public liturgical prayer of the Church?
